Grow Greene’s website, www.growgreenecounty.org, is now live.
Visitors to the website will find information and applications for grants from Grow Greene. Applications for the first round of funding are due Feb. 11; grants will be awarded in April. Grow Greene will award grants of $35,000 or more. Applicants for smaller amounts are directed to the Greene County Community Foundation, which will also receive Grow Greene funding to continue as it has in the past.
Grow Greene County is the 501(c)4 non-profit affiliate that holds the gaming license for Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. It is the responsibility of Grow Greene to distribute the 5 percent of adjusted gross gaming revenue designated for non-profit organizations, the Greene County Community Foundation, county schools and municipalities.
Grow Greene will disburse an estimated $1.5 million annually.
