Virtually all Greene County roads are free of water as of Friday afternoon, according to county engineer Wade Weiss.
The secondary roads department is continuing to monitor roads in a few low-lying places in Willow Township, “but for right now, the roads are in good shape.” He added that in some cases, damage to roads is not apparent until all water has receded. He is counting on rural residents to alert his office of places that need repair.
The secondary roads department responded to more than 200 locations where water overtopped the road following Wednesday night’s storm.
