What will the kids do?
The last day of school for Paton-Churdan students is this Thursday, and their peers in the Greene County district will finish school Friday. As parents ponder “Now what?”, the Jefferson park and recreation department has plenty of answers in the 2015 Summer Activity Guide.
The 24-page book is organized differently this year, in chronological order rather than by activity, with a handy contents listing inside the front cover. Like previous program books, the 2015 summer book includes a generic registration form so families can fill out just one form. Separate forms for all activities are available at the Greene County Community Center, 204 W. Harrison St, Jefferson.
Many new activities will debut this summer, from a Fourth of July themed party for children ages 3-6 to strength and agility training for athletes fourth grade and older. A second session of free swim lessons will be offered this summer also.
The 2015 Summer Activity Guide is being distributed through both county school districts and is available at the Community Center. JPRD is assisted in the cost of printing the book by community-minded sponsors.
