Jefferson Garden Club members gathered last Monday to clean up the grounds at the Memorial Garden near the Raccoon River Valley Recreation Trail trailhead.
The group took time out to pose for a picture around the new picnic table located in the gazebo. The table is made of concrete and river rock. Funds for the table, plus a new concrete waste receptacle, came from profits from last December’s Tour of Homes.
The club thanked Greene County conservation director Dan Towers for his help with the purchase and placement of the picnic table and receptacle.
Sitting at the table are Marilyn Copeland and Jerilynn Denman. Standing in back are (from left) Deb Kucerak, Sue Lucht, Carole Fisher, Kathy Milligan, Darla Johnson, Lynda Cochran and Denise O’Brien Van. Also present but not in the picture were Danelle Mason, Sandy Quam, Jacque Andrew and Dianne Piepel.
