A steering committee headed by Peg Raney and dozens of volunteers and participants are doing their final preparations for the 2015 Relay for Life of Greene County, slated for Saturday, April 25, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Greene County Community Center.
A highlight for many involved with the Relay is the group photo of cancer survivors, followed by the survivors’ walk. All survivors and their caregivers are invited to a reception at 9:30 am. The group photo will be taken at 10. The survivors’ walk will be at 10:20 on the east side of the Community Center (weather permitting), or inside on the walking track if Mother Nature is scowling.
The Color Out Cancer 5K run/walk will start at 10:30 am at the corner of Lincoln Way and Vine St.
