Rams win Jayette Relays in Perry

The Greene County Rams won the girls Jayette Relays in Perry Thursday night, edging out Heart of Iowa foe Roland-Story by 1.17 points. The Rams finished with 162.67 points to the Norsemen’s 161.5 points. Other team scores were Winterset 131, North Polk, 122.5, Perry 88, and Clarke Community 63.33.

The Rams won four individual events and a relay. Emma Saddoris won the long jump with a distance of 14′ 6-1/2″, and Hannah Onken won the discus throw with a distance of 115′ 8″. Eme Johnson won the 100 m. hurdles in a time of :15.89. Olivia Hansen won the 200 m race in :27.10.

Hannah Stein, Saddoris, Emily Christensen and Hansen comprised the first place 4 X 200 relay team with a time of 1:50.50.

Second place finishes were earned by Kenna Marquardt in the discus with a distance of 97′; Emily Finch in the 3000 m race with a time of 12:15.05; and the shuttle hurdle relay (Mollie Sorber, Nadia Fisher, Sarah Sandage and Johnson) with a time of 1:09.36.

Finishing in third place were Fisher and Megan Durbin in the high jump at 4′ 10″; the distance medley relay (Sorber, Durbin, Stein and Nicole Kuhl) in 4:52.18; the sprint medley (Stein, Durbin, Fisher and Kuhl) in 2:04.35; and the 4 X 400 relay (Finch, Chantel Flack, Noelle Gray and Lauren Carlson) in 4:43.67.
