Relay committee unveils logo

RFL - Greene County_CS5Relay for Life of Greene County will again have a logo of its own, distinctively different from the American Cancer Society’s Relay logo, thanks to American Athletic | Spalding’s  senior graphic designer John Sigler. His 2015 design, the third in a series, was unveiled at a lunch break event at the Greene County courthouse Tuesday.

About two dozen Relay for Life team members and sponsors, as well as cancer survivors and those who have cared for cancer patients, attended.

Sigler’s 2013 and 2014 designs featured a running figure. His 2015 design, a two color design in purple and orange, shows boot prints and splashed color, connecting the Relay to the Color Out Cancer 5K run/walk that has become part of the Greene County event.

The back of the shirt includes logos of platinum sponsors, the Jefferson Kiwanis Club and American Athletic Inc | Spalding, and gold sponsors, Jefferson Telecom and Raccoon Valley Radio. Also listed are silver sponsors Bauer Built Manufacturing, Fareway Inc, Greene County Community Center, Greene County Medical Center, GreeneCountyNewsOnline, Home State Bank, Hy-Vee Inc, Jefferson Bee & Herald, Peoples Trust & Savings Bank, UnityPoint Clinic, Wells Fargo Bank and Wild Rose Jefferson.
