INS offers scholarships for 2015 grads

Iowa Network Services (INS), based in Des Moines, has established the INS scholarship program for students pursing a STEM-related course of study. High school juniors and graduating seniors within the 2014-2015 school year are eligible. Scholarship awards ranging between $500- $1,000 will be offered to students who have outstanding academic and achievement records. Since Jefferson Telecom is an independent telephone company, area students are eligible for the scholarship dollars.

All students who submit a complete application will be considered. Recipients must have a minimum 3.33 grade point average (GPA) and a strong academic record. Recipients must be accepted by an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school and express an interest in continuing your education in a STEM–related course of study.

INS will award up to a cumulative total of $5,000 in scholarship funds to an undetermined number of applicants, residing in an Independent Telecommunications Companies area. Complete scholarship details are found online at http://iowanetworkservices.com/scholarships. An online submission process along with a short essay (maximum of 500 words) on why they should be selected to receive a scholarship from INS must be completed. All materials, including recommendation letters, must be submitted together.

The final deadline to submit entries will be midnight on April 15, 2015.
