Relay for Life committee seeking sponsors

Many sponsorships already in place

Relay for LifeThe Relay for Life of Greene County is less than three months away, and while teams are busy planning and holding fundraisers, the organizing committee is finding sponsors. Sponsorships cover all event costs so that the money raised by teams can go directly to the American Cancer Society’s mission of awareness and advocacy, patient support, and research.

Five levels of sponsorship are available with various benefits at each level. Organizations or companies that did not receive sponsorship information from Relay chairperson Peg Raney can contact her at 515-386-2797 or at wmraney@netins.net.

Many businesses have already agreed to 2015 sponsorships, either with cash or in-kind donations. As of Feb. 3, sponsors are:

Platinum, $1,250 or more

  • Kiwanis Club of Jefferson
  • American Athletic Inc/Spalding

Gold, $1,000

  • Jefferson Telecom
  • Raccoon Valley Radio

Silver, $500

  • Home State Bank
  • Peoples Trust & Savings Bank
  • Fareway Inc

  • Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home

Hour of Hope, $100

Sponsors at the silver level or higher will have their name or logo on the back of the Relay T-shirts. Raney reminds those sponsors that a Feb. 20 commitment is needed to be included on the shirts. Sponsorships at the bronze and Hour of Hope levels are requested by March 27. To learn about the various levels of sponsorship, click here: Relay for Life Sponsorships
