Lori Herrick, emergency department (ED) manager, was chosen as 2014 Employee of the Year at a special employee recognition celebration on Jan. 29 at Greene County Medical Center. The recognition celebration honored all Employee of the Year nominees, as well as all employees with 5-year milestone anniversaries.

The medical center offers all employees the opportunity to nominate co-workers for this yearly award. Herrick was described as “striving for excellence in everything she does, and taking ownership for the ED and the care that is provided there.” Nomination papers for Herrick stated, “Lori takes pride in her work and encourages others to do the same.Lori exemplifies our message, Always Here, Always Caring.”
Herrick has been an employee since 1989 when she started as a part-time housekeeper. She moved to the laundry department, then became a CNA. in long term care. She went on to earn her LPN license and finally her RN license. Herrick has been manager of the emergency department since 2007.
