New Kids Station at Scranton library

The Scranton public library recently introduced the newest addition: an advanced Kids Education Station.

The Jefferson Rotary along with the Library Foundation and the Friends of the Scranton Library generously donated the funds for this improvement to the library. Along with a touch screen, smaller and easier to use mouse, and color coded keyboard, this computer comes packed with a variety of learning software.

The goal of this specially developed software is to promote critical thinking techniques in young children through a wide range of educational games and tutorials.

The youngsters at the library (including Quinten and Americus Squibb) have been testing and playing with the computer for a month.
