Greene County Adopt-a-Family’s 2013 Christmas Campaign is heading into the home stretch this week with final preparations for Saturday’s food basket distribution. Families who registered will be able to pick up their holiday baskets Saturday, Dec. 21, from noon – 1:30 pm at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson.
Local churches and organizations have again collected household goods to be included with the food purchased through community donations. “We are so grateful for the generous people who call Greene County home. We will continue to accept cash donations so we are able to provide some needed relief for our friends and neighbors,” said a board member. Donations can be made at any Greene County Peoples Trust & Savings Bank location or mailed to GCAAF, PO Box 364, Jefferson, IA 50129.
