Jefferson Telecom announces changes in cable lineup

Jefferson Telecom announces a variety of programming adjustments to the cable TV lineup.

Jefferson Telecom values the opinions of its customers,  a company press release stated.  After receiving feedback to add MSNBC to the lineup, the company is pleased to announce that it is now available.  MSNBC features news, information, and political opinion programming and can be found on the Jefferson Telecom basic cable TV tier of programming on channel 63 in standard definition and channel 663 in high definition.

Jefferson Telecom has also added Investigation Discovery in high definition on channel 693. Investigation Discovery features documentary-style programming dealing with true crime subjects, including criminal investigations, forensics, and other crime-related documentaries.

Jefferson Telecom regrets to inform customers that SoapNet, channel 260, will be discontinued as of Dec. 31.  SoapNet, owned by the Disney-ABC Television Group division of The Walt Disney Company, has seen a steady decline in the soap opera genre as a whole, and the company has decided to replace the channel with a new preschool oriented network, Disney Junior.
