In Greene County district court Michael David Teeples, 21, was sentenced Oct. 27 to two days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. The jail term was suspended and he was placed on informal probation for one year. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense, and his driver’s license was revoked for $180 days. Teeples was fined $500 with a $175 surcharge and a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE). He must also pay a $125 law enforcement initiative (LEI) surcharge, restitution to be determined and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)
Robert Emmett Tracy III, 27, of Jefferson was sentenced to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. He was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. He must also pay $90 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: Kester)
Nickalos Andrew Brown, 18 of Jefferson was fined $1,000 with a $350 surcharge after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license revoked. He must also pay a $10 DARE surcharge, restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees to be determined, and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Hayley Lynn Brown, 21, of Jefferson, burglary-third degree, forgery (two counts), ongoing criminal conduct, identity theft, and unlawful use of credit card (14 counts); and Heather Thelma Ott, 33, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine-second offense. A trial date of Dec. 16 was set for Brown and of Dec. 8 for Ott.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Jared Dean Dennhardt, 25, of Jefferson, eluding; Brock Brent Stoner, 25, of Jefferson, driving while license revoked; Amanda Pamela Collogan, 29, of Grand Junction, operating while intoxicated (OWI)-first offense; and Tyler Anthony Kokenge, 33, of Grand Junction, OWI-first offense and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
