JPRD plans Halloween fun

HalloweenIn cooperation with the Greene County Chamber and the Jefferson public library, several Halloween related activities will be available for youth ages 2 years to 5th grade to enjoy Thursday, Oct. 30.

Halloween party: The fun begins at the at the Greene County Community Center. A free party with Halloween games and crafts, and treats, will be held from 4 to 5 pm. Parents can register their children that day, but the party runs more efficiently and children have more time for fun when registration is done early. Watch for information about the library party and the Chamber’s trick-or-treat around the square.

ZombieZombie Run: This zombie infested adventure race will be full of obstacles to complete and zombies to dodge for boys and girls in grades 4-8. Complete the course and the obstacles without becoming a zombie. Prizes will be awarded based on finish (dead or undead). The run will be on Tuesday, October 28 at Daubendiek Park with a start time of 5:30 pm. Pre-registration is encouraged; the registration fee is $5 prior to Oct. 22 and $10 on or after Oct. 22.
