Pesticide continuing instruction course set for March 5

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Greene County will offer a private pesticide applicator Continuing Instruction Course (P-CIC), led by Betsy Danielson, Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension specialist. The last Greene County session is scheduled for March 5 at 6:30 pm at the Greene County Extension office.  Walk-ins on the day of the program will only be admitted if room allows. Please call Jeff Lamoureux at 515-386-2138 to reserve a spot.

The course will run for approximately 2 ½ hours including check-in and breaks. The registration fee is $30. To register or to obtain additional information about the P-CIC, contact the Greene County Extension office. The course will fulfill 2025-2026 recertification requirements for private pesticide applicators. Topics to be covered include pesticide use and the environment; pesticide labels and comprehension, including restricted entry interval and preharvest interval; and pests, pest management, and pesticides.
