Following are excerpts of daily activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:
Wednesday, Dec. 31: At 12:31 am a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 400 block of S. 11th St in Grand Junction. At 2:14 pm a deputy recovered a trailer stolen from Dallas County in the 1700 block of 330th St in Franklin Township.
Tuesday, Dec. 30: At 5:23 pm a deputy issued a salvage tag for a deer on Hwy 30 near K Ave west of Jefferson.

Monday, Dec. 29: At 3:08 am a deputy and the Bagley fire department responded to a structure fire at 2217 Brentwood Ave in Willow Township. There were no injuries. The house was a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined. At 10:07 am a deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 600 block of Brentwood Ave in Cedar Township. At 8:01 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 600 block of S. 15th St in Grand Junction.
Sunday, Dec. 28: At 3:10 pm a deputy, Greene County Ambulance, and Jefferson Fire responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 4 near 257th St south of Jefferson. Tiffany Ashby of Jefferson lost control of a 2000 GMC Yukon on a patch of ice. The vehicle rolled once in the ditch. Nobody was injured in the accident. The estimated damage to the vehicle is $10,000.
Saturday, Dec. 27: At 9:23 am a deputy assisted with cattle out on Hwy 30 near H Ave west of Jefferson. At 5:44 pm a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Eaton Avenue near 196th St in Bristol Township. At 10:23 pm a deputy arrested Brian Newton of Grand Junction for a probation violation in the 800 block of E. Percival St in Grand Junction*. He was later booked into the jail on the charge. At 11:19 pm a deputy arrested Audrie Lawrence, 25, of Boone for a probation violation in the 1000 block of E. Railroad St in Grand Junction. Lawrence was also charged with providing false identification*. She was later booked into the jail on three counts of violation of probation and providing false identification.
Friday, Dec. 26: At 1:08 am Bradley Tronchetti, 42, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of domestic abuse assault*. At 9:12 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident in the 2200 block of Hwy 30 in Franklin Township. Owen Bainter of Jefferson struck a deer with a 1997 Chevrolet K1500. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $10,000.
Thursday, Dec. 25: At 4:23 pm a deputy assisted with cattle out on Apple Ave near 280th St in Willow Township.
Wednesday, Dec. 24: At 2:42 am Ulises Lepe-Hernandez, 21, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated*. At 7 am a deputy arrested Candi Wenger of Scranton on a Guthrie County arrest warrant. She was later booked into the jail. At 2:23 pm the sheriff and deputies assisted the Guthrie County sheriff’s office with two arrests and a search of a residence in Jamaica.
Tuesday, Dec. 23: At 11:44 am Wade Ironshell, 40, of Sioux Falls was booked into the jail on a charge of public intoxication*. At 12:22 pm a deputy attempted to catch two dogs running at large near 290th St and Hwy 4 in Franklin Township. At 3:31 pm a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 30 and D Ave west of Scranton. Shaun Warnke, 46, of Scranton was arrested on a charge of driving while license barred*. He was later booked into the jail on the charge. At 3:53 pm Roger Ketchum, 37, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charge of violation of probation*.

Sunday, Dec. 21: At 1 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a fight in the 700 block of Wild Rose Drive. Tim Hays, 54, of Linden was booked in to the jail on a charge of assault*. He was later booked into the jail. At 10:24 pm Franklin Aguilar-Aguliar, 22, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for driving while license barred*. At 11:07 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of animal neglect in the 1000 block of Fitzpatrick St in Churdan.
Saturday, Dec. 20: At 1:47 am Jeffery Anderson, 61, of Panora was booked into the jail on a charge of driving while license revoked*. At 1:59 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass near R Avenue and 283rd St in Franklin Township. At 5:46 pm a deputy assisted Dallas County with K-9 in the 800 block of Warford St in Perry. At 8:12 pm a deputy investigated a domestic complaint in the 2200 block of Brentwood Ave in Willow Township. Jared Bielenberg, 36, of Coon Rapids was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia*. He was later booked into the jail. At 10:45 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a search warrant in the 100 block of north Grimmell Rd.
Friday, Dec. 19: At 10:25 am a deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 30 near Orchard Ave west of Jefferson. Catherine Kingery of Jefferson was westbound driving a 2023 Honda CRV. Kingery stopped for a deer in the roadway and was rear ended by Victoria Johnson of Carroll was also westbound, following Kingery in a 2016 BMW. Kingery stopped for a deer in the roadway. Johnson failed to stop and struck the rear of Kingery’s vehicle. Damage to Kingery’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Damage to Johnson’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. There were no injuries and no citations were issued. At 2:32 pm Cody Greiner, 34, of Colfax was booked into the jail on charge of driving while license barred, driving while license suspended, and operation without an interlock device*.
Thursday, Dec. 18: At 4:49 am a deputy investigated a burglary at Sparky’s One Stop in Rippey. At 9:28 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. At 9:30 pm the sheriff and deputies conducted a search warrant at 1204 Tama St in Boone. The Jefferson Police Department and the Boone Police Department assisted. The vehicle from the overnight burglaries was seized along with stolen property. Charges are pending.
Wednesday, Dec. 17: At 8:56 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 400 block of E. Hager St in Grand Junction. At 10:16 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 900 block of Cedar St in Scranton. At 10:30 am a deputy investigated an assault in the 500 block of Main St in Paton. At 11:22 am a deputy investigated a single-vehicle accident in the 500 block of N. 16th St in Grand Junction. Charles Gehrke of Odeboldt struck the building with a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Damage to the building is estimated at $3,000. At 8:25 pm Virginia Henry, 51, of Missouri was booked into the jail on charges of operating while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana- second offense, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication*. At 11:43 pm a deputy investigated a burglary in the 900 block of Locust St in Scranton.
Tuesday, Dec. 16: At 12:07 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 3:27 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a vicious dog in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Monday, Dec. 15: At 9:46 am a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief near State and Kendrick Sts in Scranton. At 12:37 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 600 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. Alex Treft, 34, of Grand Junction was arrested on a charge of assault*. He was later booked into the jail on the charge. At 4:24 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of animal neglect in the 1900 block of 130th St in Paton Township. At 6:47 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of child neglect in the 800 block of Jay St in Churdan. At 7:21 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 600 block of North St in Churdan. At 8:56 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of animal neglect in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Sunday, Dec. 14: At 9:25 am Robert Hobbs, 53, of Churdan was booked into the jail on a charge of assault*.
Saturday, Dec. 13: At 5:48 am Matthew Durbin, 33, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated*. At 10:29 am a deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on U Ave near 250th St south of Churdan. Both drivers left the scene. At 2:32 pm a deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 3:26 pm Issiaha Keegle, 29, of Grand Junction was booked into the jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle without owners’ consent and theft- fifth degree*.
Friday, Dec. 12: At 1:30 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 100 block of Vine St in Cooper. At 9:43 pm a deputy investigated single-vehicle accident in the 500 block of Main St in Grand Junction. Jared Glendenning of Churdan struck a tree with a 2011 Ford F150. Glendenning was arrested for operating while intoxicated- second offense*. The truck had severe damage to the front of the truck. At 11:15 pm a deputy investigated a single-vehicle rollover accident on 170th Street and S Ave in Hardin Township. A juvenile hit a drift on the roadway and lost control of the 2008 Lexus 250, rolling it in the ditch. Nobody was injured in the accident. The vehicle was severely damaged.
Thursday, Dec. 11: At 7:52 am a deputy investigated a domestic complaint in the 200 block of S. 7th St in Grand Junction. At 10:39 am a deputy and the Jefferson Fire Department responded to a tractor fire in the 900 block of 310th St in Greenbrier Township. The end loader was total loss. At 11:11 am Travis Heinz, 33, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for a violation of no contact order*. At 12:40 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 2:06 pm a deputy investigated a scam in the 200 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 3:06 pm Elijah Finerane, 23, of Denison was booked into the jail for on charges of theft- fifth degree and identity theft*. At 10:37 pm a deputy and Churdan Fire responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of Sand St in Churdan. An electrical short was found at the meter. There was no damage to the structure. At 11:57 pm Gary Grundon, 62, of Grand Junction was booked into the jail on charges of probation violation and failure to appear*.
Wednesday, Dec. 10: At 9:46 am a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 5:05 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of E. Main St in Churdan.
Wednesday, Dec. 9: At 9:49 am a deputy investigated a juvenile with vapes at the school in Churdan.
Monday, Dec. 8: At 10:34 am Auston Carter, 31, of Coon Rapids was booked into the jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated*. At 1:58 pm the Greene County sheriff’s office and the Jefferson police department conducted a search warrant in the 2000 block of Hwy 4 for suspected child pornography. Digital evidence was seized. Charges are pending results of digital forensics. At 8:31 pm Melanie Smith, 25, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of gathering where controlled substances used, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia*.
Sunday, Dec. 7: At 4:36 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 4 near 250th St south of Jefferson. At 9:12 am a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 700 block of Madison St in Scranton. At 9:58 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 600 block of E. Hager St in Grand Junction. At 2:06 pm a deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 30 near 210th west of Scranton. Henry Lopez of Denison was traveling eastbound operating a 2004 Ford F-150. Christell Zalazar of Denison was following him operating a 2017 Toyota Rav4 but struck the rear of Lopez’s vehicle. Salazar was cited for failure to stop in a safe and clear distance. Damage to her vehicle exceeded value. Damage to the pickup truck was estimated at $1,500. At 2:19 pm a deputy investigated a cat bite in the 1900 block of L Ave in Jackson Township. At 3:37 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 30 near 210th St west of Scranton. At 5:39 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 144 near 190th St north of Grand Junction. At 10:19 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on N Avenue near 130th St in Dawson Township.

Friday, Dec. 5: At 5 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 4 and 190th St north of Jefferson. At 5:53 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 30 and J Ave west of Jefferson. At 1:33 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 500 block of N. 16th St in Grand Junction. At 5:42 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 900 block of Locust St in Scranton. At 8:15 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on Locust St in Scranton. At 9:21 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on D Ave near 210th St in Kendrick Township.
Thursday, Dec. 4: At 10:55 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 30 near Granite Ave east of Scranton. At 2:22 pm Stephanie Perry, 68, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of gambling- false application statement*.
Wednesday, Dec. 3: At 7:55 am a deputy, Greene County Ambulance, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, and Paton Fire responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 144 near 125th St near Paton. Finnlee Monzo of Gowrie lost control of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado; the vehicle rolled in the ditch. Monzo suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported to the Greene County Medical Center. Damage to the vehicle exceeded value. At 9:30 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 144 near 190th St north of Grand Junction. At 1:30 pm Michael Wagoner, 42, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of violation of a no contact order*. At 2:24 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 144 near 150th St. At 2:47 pm a deputy and Grand Junction Fire and Rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 30 Street near 222nd St at Grand Junction. Samantha Giest of Spirit Lake lost control of a 2011 Kia Sorento and struck the rear axle of a 2015 International semi driven by Grant Borkowski of Carroll. Giest was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to her vehicle exceeded value. Damage to the semi trailer was estimated at $1,500. At 3:15 pm Damon McDonald, 49, of Lohrville was booked into the jail for a probation violation*. At 3:29 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 600 block of E. Hager St in Grand Junction.
Tuesday, Dec. 2: At 1:42 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 4 near Lakeland Ave in Highland Township. At 10:01 am a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 30 near Pioneer Ave east of Jefferson. At 10:40 am a deputy arrested a juvenile in the 600 block of Adrian St in Churdan for possession of alcohol underage. At 8:51 pm a deputy located in the 400 block of Sand St in Churdan two runaway children from Calhoun County. At 10:50 pm a deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 144 near 185th St south of Dana.
Monday, Dec. 1: At 8:18 am a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Hwy 144 near 110th St in Paton Township. At 9:30 am a deputy and Greene County Ambulance responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on 130th St near T Ave in Dawson Township. A juvenile lost control of a 2000 Ford Ranger and rolled into the ditch. The driver was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500. At 10:27 am Rececca Davis, 52, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for an out of county arrest warrant*. At 5:34 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on Hwy 30 near Pioneer Ave east of Jefferson. Nikki Rose of Grand Junction struck a deer with a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000. At 5:45 pm a deputy investigated a second car-deer accident on Hwy 30 near Pioneer Ave. Tiffany Hull of Perry struck a deer with a 2022 Hyundai Venue, causing an estimated $1,500 damage to the vehicle. At 9:10 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 10:12 pm Kegan Claiser, 26, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of assault causing bodily injury*.
