Holiday at the Gallup House Sunday, Dec. 7

The historic Gallup House will be the setting for music, refreshments, and a silent auction of art by local and Iowa artists Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1 to 3 pm.

Local artists Chad Elliott, Matt Wetrich, Roger Aegerter, Susan Smith and Jean Van Gilder have donated art, as well as Brian Duffy of Des Moines and Brian McKelvey of Iowa City. Also featured will be art by former local art teacher the late Hilda Fenson, donated by Greg Ruth. Art by Frank Miller has been donated by Joh Brunow. The art will be sold by silent auction.

A curated collection of gently read books, some of them autographed by the author, will be sold by silent auction as well.

“Pulling Strings,” a duo of harpist Pat Boddy and guitarist/vocalist David Williamson will set the scene musically, and festive refreshments and beverages, including wine, will be served. There is no admission charge. All are welcome. Holiday at the Gallup House is hosted by Greene County Democrats.
