Brad Jeffrey Podlesak, age 45, died Nov. 2, 2025, at his home in Jefferson.
Brad was born Nov. 26, 1979, to John and Susan (Dunifer) Podlesak at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. He attended schools in Greene County, graduating from Jefferson-Scranton High School in 1998. He later moved to Missoula, MT, where he attended Montana College of Technology, graduating with a degree in welding.
Brad returned to Jefferson in 2010 with his son Jude, and dedicated his life as a single father raising his son. Brad was employed at Bauer Built in Paton. He loved watching sports. The Iowa Hawkeyes, NASCAR and Demo Derbies were Brad’s favorites.
Brad is survived by his son Jude of Jefferson; his parents John and Susan of Jefferson; his brother Nicholas and his wife Mary and their children, John, Sadie, and Layla of Ankeny; plus his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Services for Brad Podlesak include a prayer service at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson, with Fr. Bill Schreiber presiding. Memorials in Brad’s honor may be directed to the family or left at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home.
