In Greene County district court Alan Kenneth Jensen, 67, of Jefferson pleaded not guilty Oct. 22 to a charge of operating while intoxicated. A trial date was set for Jan. 27.
A pair of warrants were served in cases against Brian R. Weltzin, 29, of Grand Junction. In the first case, which was initiated May 5, he is charged with operating while intoxicated. In the second case, which was initiated Aug. 26, he is charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and criminal mischief- second degree. He was charged with possession or carrying dangerous weapons while under the influence in a case initiated Oct. 21.
Cases were initiated during the week ending Oct. 24 as follows: Christopher Herbert Lawrence, 45, of Ames, domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense; Barbara Jon Pergande, 52, of Webster City, domestic abuse assault- injury or mental illness; and Martin John Tolsdorf, 61, of Grand Junction, operating while intoxicated- second offense.
