City of Jefferson representatives and Bolton & Menk staff will host an open house to share information on proposed sidewalk improvements on Westwood Dr and W. Lincoln Way on Jefferson’s west side. The open house is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 7 to 8 pm. at Abundant Life Ministries, 1308 W. Lincoln Way.
Plans, cost estimates, and funding methods will be presented. The public, particularly those who live or own property in the area, are encouraged to attend.
The project includes a sidewalk on one side of the road on Lincoln Way west of Grimmell Rd and around the curve to Westwood Drive, sidewalk on Westwood Dr, and sidewalk on the west side of Grimmell Rd between Lincoln Way and Westwood. A sidewalk project has been discussed periodically for several years, but was moved up on the priority list when Greene County Schools quit offering school bus service there.
