The Rotary Club of Jefferson recently awarded $2,500 in grant funds to the Scranton Alumni Association/Scranton Community Center toward the purchase of an indoor sports cage for the center. The cage will be used for indoor batting and golf practice.

According to Scranton Community Center board member Dawn Rudolph, the availability of the cage will save families and athletes time and money by not needing to leave the county to practice. The cage will be installed sometime this summer.
