Following are excerpts of activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:
Saturday, May 31: At 1:09 am Kim-Mikhael Asingho, 33, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of driving while license revoked for OWI*. At 1:17 pm Jeremy Fister, 48, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of ongoing criminal conduct and dependent adult abuse*. At 3:46 pm a deputy assisted by the Jefferson PD conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of S. Elm St, Jefferson.

Friday, May 30: At 3:35 pm Adam Choruzek, 45, of Grand Junction was booked into the jail on a charge of harassment- third degree*.
Thursday, May 29: At 11:49 am a deputy investigated a theft on 290th St near Hwy 4 in Franklin Township. At 5:09 pm a deputy investigated an ATV accident in the 200 block of Eaton Ave in Cedar Township. At 5:30 pm a deputy assisted with cattle out on Apple Ave near 270th St in Willow Township.
Wednesday, May 28: At 4:18 am a deputy assisted with a horse out on Orchard Avenue near 195th St in Grant Township.
Tuesday, May 27: At 5:37 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Hwy 4 near 210th St north of Jefferson.
Monday, May 26: At 2:03 pm a deputy, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Hwy 30 west of Grand Junction. Alivia Cornell of Scranton was eastbound on Hwy 30 operating a 2008 Audi AA6. A juvenile of Grand Junction was behind Cornell in a 2001 Dodge Dakota. The juvenile rear-ended Cornell, sending both vehicles into the ditch. The juvenile was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to Cornell’s car was estimated at $7,000. Damage to the juvenile’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
Sunday, May 25: At 9:17 am a deputy investigated a property dispute in the 200 block of Hill St in Churdan. At 11:11 am a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 600 block of Brentwood Ave in Cedar Township. At 11:54 am a deputy investigated a theft of electricity near S. 13th and E. Elizabeth Sts in Grand Junction. At 2:28 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 300 block of S. 7th St in Grand Junction. At 5:16 pm a deputy removed a dead deer from the roadway on Hwy 4 near 190th St north of Jefferson. At 5:25 pm Gary Reiher, 69, of Grand Junction was booked into the jail on a charge of indecent exposure*. At 10:18 pm a deputy assisted the Guthrie County sheriff’s office with an assault in the 300 block of 3rd Ave in Jamaica. At 11:29 pm a deputy, Greene County Ambulance, Jefferson PD, and Jefferson Fire responded to a single-vehicle accident on Hwy 30 near L Ave west of Jefferson. Brian Hiveley of Scranton lost control of a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, rolling into the ditch. Hively was cited for failure to maintain control. More charges are possible when lab results are complete. Damage to the pickup truck was estimated at $10,000.
Saturday, May 24: At 10:49 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD in responding to a domestic disturbance call in the 600 block of West Lincoln Way in Jefferson. At 3:29 am Taylor Shaw, 30, of Dubuque was booked into the jail on charges of driving while license revoked and possession of marijuana*. At 2:45 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 700 block of Stanton St in Scranton. At 5:43 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD in responding to an assault in the 300 block of E. State St in Jefferson. At 9:53 pm a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 600 block of Brentwood Ave in Scranton. At 10:03 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on U Ave near 200th St north of Grand Junction. Makayla Allison of Callender struck a deer with a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

Thursday, May 22: At 6:55 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 200 block of S. 19th St in Grand Junction. At 8:51 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1000 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 10:42 pm Shawn Clark, 49, of Stuart was booked into the jail on a charge of probation violation*.
Wednesday, May 21: At 6:24 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a dog running at large in the 600 block of Hill St in Churdan. At 7:05 pm the sheriff, deputies, Greene County Ambulance, and Grand Junction fire and rescue responded to a report of a male subject that jumped from a moving vehicle on U Avenue near 175th St in Junction Township. Johnathon Dorman of Goldfield was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is still under investigation.
Tuesday, May 20: At 4:21 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 500 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
Monday, May 19: At 1:04 pm Joseph Gilpin, 42, of Monroe was booked into the jail for a probation violation*. At 3:45 pm a deputy arrested Tiffany McCalley, 52, of Grand Junction on a charge of probation violation*. At 4:14 pm she was booked into the jail on the charge.
Sunday, May 18: At 4:26 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1200 block of 245th St in Jackson Township. At 11:42 pm a deputy removed a dead deer from the roadway on Hwy 30 near W Ave east of Grand Junction.
Saturday, May 17: At 10:16 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1200 block of 245th St in Jackson Township. At 3:39 pm a deputy investigated a violation of a court order in the 600 block of S. 15th St in Grand Junction.
Friday, May 16: At 4:38 am Robert Fry, 61, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of driving while license denied or revoked for operating while intoxicated*. At 12:04 pm a deputy investigated a theft near 280th St and I Ave in Greenbrier Township. At 1:29 pm a deputy investigated a power pole that was struck near S. Main and E. Paton Sts in Paton. At 6 pm Brandon Ferguson, 26, of Scranton was booked into the jail on charges of driving while barred and failure to provide aid or information at an accident*. At 6:58 pm Andrea Martin, 50, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of domestic assault causing bodily injury*.
Thursday, May 15: At 7:28 am a deputy removed debris from the roadway on Hwy 25 near 280 St in Willow Township. At 7:39 am a deputy assisted with four puppies that were dumped in the 1400 block of S Ave in Junction Township. At 2:49 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 200 block of S. 19th St in Grand Junction. At 9:50 pm a deputy responded to a single-vehicle accident on 130th St near R Ave in Dawson Township. A juvenile was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled in the ditch after hitting an embankment. The youth was transported by parents to Greene County Medical Center. Charges are pending. Damage to the vehicle exceeded value.
Wednesday, May 14: At 9:28 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on 140th St near K Ave east of Churdan. Karen Rooney of Churdan struck a deer with a 2011 Kia Sorento. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8,000.
Tuesday, May 13: At 7:36 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 600 block of V Ave in Paton Township. At 9:50 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 600 block of S. 15th St in Grand Junction.
Monday, May 12: At 9:45 pm Travis Armstrong, 35, of Churdan was booked into the jail on charges of possession of marijuana- third offense and operating while intoxicated*.
Sunday, May 11: At 1:06 pm deputies assisted the Jefferson PD with an accident in the 300 block of N. Elm St in Jefferson. At 8:59 pm a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 700 block of North St in Churdan. Donald Schultz of Webster City was arrested for assault*.

Friday, May 9: At 3:09 pm a deputy assisted with cattle out on 170th St near T Ave in Paton Township. At 4:17 pm a deputy investigated a backing accident in the 900 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. Tiffany McCalley of Grand Junction backed her 2003 Jeep Liberty into a 1998 Dodge Ram. McCalley was cited for unsafe backing, driving while license suspended, and failure to provide proof of financial liability- accident related. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $400. At 4:58 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 900 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Thursday, May 8: At 7:45 am a deputy investigated a school bus violation in the 1100 block of S. 8th St in Grand Junction. At 9:01 am a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1000 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 1:40 pm the sheriff and deputies conducted a search warrant in the 800 block of Chicago St in Scranton. At 7:50 pm Daniel Tasler, 33, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, credit card fraud, theft- fourth degree, and possession of a controlled substance*.
Wednesday, May 7: At 12:20 pm Nathan Martin, 49, of Carroll was booked into the jail for a probation violation*. At 5:48 pm a deputy, Scranton Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a hit-and-run accident on Hwy 30 near Kendrick Ave west of Jefferson. Crystal Reed of Jefferson was eastbound driving a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. An unknown driver in a suspected Chevrolet Silverado with black spray-painted rims and trim failed to stop at the stop as posted on K Ave and pulled out in front of Reed. The driver of the pickup truck left the scene. Damage to Reed’s vehicle exceeded value.
Tuesday, May 6: At 2:09 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an assault in the 600 block of Hwy 30 west of Jefferson. At 3:02 am Linda Moran, 63, of Denison was booked into the jail on charges of operating while intoxicated- second offense and public intoxication.* At 7:26 am Matthew Moran, 28, of Denison was booked into the jail on charges of assault causing bodily injury and consuming alcohol in a public place*. At 12:46 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 8:17 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a dog running at large in the 200 block of 175th St in Kendrick Township.
Monday, May 5: At 5:14 am a deputy and Grand Junction Fire responded to a train engine fire near Hwys 30 and 144 at Grand Junction. At 10:03 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway in the 1800 block of 235th St in Grant Township. At 8:24 pm deputies, Jefferson PD, and Jefferson Fire responded to a vehicle fire in the 100 block of W. Washington St. At 10:52 pm Melissa Rysavy, 29, of Scranton was booked into the jail on a charge of harassment- first degree*.
Saturday, May 4: At 5:40 pm deputies investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 600 block of Brentwood Ave in Cedar Township. Kenneth Bonnette, 37, of Scranton was arrested for a violation of a no contact order. At 6:16 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 1100 block of 170th St in Bristol Township. At 6:17 pm a deputy and Churdan Fire responded to a hay bail on fire near 140th St and B Ave in Cedar Township. At 10:31 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 600 block of N. 11th St in Grand Junction.
Saturday, May 3: At 8:13 am a deputy investigated a missing juvenile in the 400 block of Harding St in Churdan. At 11:09 pm Jason Morris, 42, of Rippey was booked into the jail for assault causing bodily injury.At 11:09 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 300 block of 3rd St in Rippey. Jason Morris, 42, was arrested on a charge of assault causing bodily injury*.
Friday, May 2: At 12:14 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass near 230th St and Linwood Ave in Jackson Township. At 1:11 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 600 block of 130th St in Cedar Township. At 1:21 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1100 block of Main St in Scranton. At 8:32 pm Jeremy Cartwright, 52, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of trespass and criminal mischief- fifth degree*.
Thursday, May 1: At 10:33 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of S. Main St, Paton. At 7:01 pm the sheriff and deputies conducted two search warrants for stolen property, one at 715 S. Elm Street in Jefferson and the other located at 33941 290th St, Coon Rapids. The Jefferson PD assisted at the Jefferson location and property was located along with suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Nothing of interest was found at the Coon Rapids location. Charges are pending.
