Carol Schultz of Jefferson will present portions of her extensive research on George Gallup, one of Jefferson’s most famous residents, at the Greene County Genealogical Society meeting Saturday, May 3, at 10 am in the basement meeting room at the Jefferson public library. Schultz has continued her research since first presenting the topic for the Historical Society a few years ago. She is excited to share the new information she has unearthed and possibly to brainstorm ideas for future uses for his boyhood home in the 700 block of S. Chestnut St.
The genealogical reference library is open to public every Saturday from 9-11 am and Wednesday from 1-3 pm. It is open to members during regular library hours. It is handicapped accessible.
