In Greene County magistrate court Joe Edward Blackmon of Grand Junction was sentenced to 20 days in jail on a charge of assault with intent to cause pain/injury. He will be given credit for time served on a serious misdemeanor charge in district court. A judgment was entered for a $105 fine with a $15.75 surcharge. Court costs were $230.82. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Obinna Louis Nwobodo of Jefferson, obstruction of emergency communication; Chad Christian Louk of Jefferson, violation of no contact order; and Kaden Schneiderman of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault.
