With the conclusion of the 2024-25 basketball season for Iowa high school boys’ basketball, a few Greene County Rams players took home some honors.
Overall, the Rams finished 4-19 and 2-14 in Heart of Iowa Conference play to close out the season. They doubled their win total from the season prior when they went 2-20 and two players brought home Heart of Iowa Conference honors.
First on the list was senior Isaac Carman, who received a Heart of Iowa Conference Honorable Mention nod. In his final campaign with the Rams, Carman was tied for first on the team in total points with 160 at seven points per game. Carman led the team in total rebounds with 128 and defensive rebounds with 80. Overall, it was a great senior season for Carman who earned that deserved recognition and he will leave big shoes to fill on the court next season.
The second player was senior Camden Jacobs, who also received a Heart of Iowa Conference Honorable Mention award. In his senior year, Jacobs was fourth on the team in total points with 105 at 4.6 per game. He was second on the team in assists with 32, second on the team in steals with 25 and was an outstanding all around player for the Rams and showcased a little bit of everything.
