Ground was broken March 17 on the new Greene County jail. Holding shovels were Greene County supervisors, sheriff Jack Williams and representatives of DLR Group. Sheriff deputies and staff looked on.
Excavation for the project began immediately. The $10.9 million project will be completed in the fall of 2026.
