Why Not Us is inviting the public to an open house of the Centennial Suites on Wednesday, March 12 from 4 to 6 pm at 203 N. Wilson in Jefferson. A ribbon cutting by the Jefferson Matters Ambassadors will be held at 4 pm outside of the apartments.
Why Not Us is the group that has led the restoration of the Centennial Block building since 2019. The first project was the ground floor, completed in July 2022, where The Centennial restaurant is owned and operated by Sara Ostrander. The exterior of the building including new windows throughout and paint was finished in the fall of 2022.
The final part of the project, two one-bedroom apartments on the second floor, are now ready for occupancy. Following the open house, WNU will begin taking applications to rent the apartments.
