Ram bowlers fall to OABCIG

The Greene County Rams girls and boys bowling teams faced off against OABCIG this past week in Jefferson.

They hosted the Falcons at Spare Times Lane and Lounge in Jefferson where the boys fell by a score of 2,856-2,690 and the girls fell by a score of 1,897-1,813.

For the boys, Chase Fecher took the high game at the meet with a 236, Teagan Chisholm had a 219, Calvin Fields had a 185, Lane Fields had a 170, Trystan Cummings had a 159 and Ryan Bills had a 134. Fecher took the total pins for the Rams with 417, Chisholm had 416, Calvin Fields had 335, Lane Fields had 334, Cummings had 294 and Bills had 243.

On the girls side, Rozella Helms took the high game with a 157, Trinity Hull had a 135, Allison Fields had a 134, Hayleigh Rivera had a 127, Shelby Finley had a 101 and Alivia Cornell had a 95. Helms took the most pins for the Rams with 281, Allison Fields had 267, Rivera had 229, Hull had 225, Finley had 186 and Cornell had 175.

As the regular season is rapidly approaching an end for both the Rams bowling teams, they know where they will be headed to try and make state. They will head to Council Bluffs for their state qualifying meets. The girls will compete on Feb. 17 and the boys will compete Feb. 18.

This week, both teams will be heading to Lucky Lanes Bowling in Denison for a Monarch Bakers Tournament on Thursday. Looking ahead, both teams will welcome the Carroll Tigers to Spare Time Lanes and Lounge in Jefferson on Feb. 13.
