The Greene County Rams boys’ basketball team had a career high scorer but it wasn’t enough to win when they faced Jan. 24.

Senior Isaac Carman led the Rams with 22 points with most of his damage coming from beyond the arc. Carman went a blistering seven for 11 from three-point land and chipped in a free-throw to get him up to 22 points. Broc Stream was second on the team in scoring with nine points and Rafe Michaelsen led the team in rebounding with nine rebounds.

Overall, the Rams played well against PCM in most areas except for turnovers, as they had 23 on the night. The Rams shot at 41.8 percent but that wasn’t enough to make up for the turnovers. The final score was 82-63.

The Rams played  Woodward Academy Jan 23 and lost 49-42.

In that game the Rams were trying to catchup the game. Camden Jacobs led the team in scoring with eight points and Carman led the team in rebounds with seven. Ten different Rams scored points during the game which showcases a deep the bench for head coach Chris Nelson.

This week, the Rams were expected to face the Nevada Cubs on Tuesday and then the Roland-Story Norsemen on Friday.

The extended calendar has the Rams facing Saydel on Feb. 4 and ranked West Marshall Trojans on Feb. 7.
