21st Century Rehab offers free assessments

It is not at all unusual for people to make New Year’s resolutions that center on improving their health, but statistics show that many of these are abandoned within the first couple of weeks of January and the majority by the end of the month. The key reason people fail to follow through is a lack of planning. “If your goal is to improve your health in 2025, 21st Century Rehab at Greene County Medical Center wants to help you set the stage for success by offering free exams and the development of an easy-to-follow plan,” a spokesperson said

Director Deb Morton said patients can schedule a free assessment during the week of January 20-24. Morton added there is a good reason they offer these at no charge, often comparing their services to the routine care they provide to vehicles. “We don’t even question the need for maintenance on our cars, trucks and other vehicles,” Morton said. “This helps us avoid major problems by finding and fixing them while they are still relatively minor. Our bodies need this same kind of attention so we can fix the smaller issue before it worsens or becomes one that impacts our other systems as well.”

Pain is not a prerequisite for scheduling an appointment for a free exam, Morton said. The entire 21st Century Rehab team is ready to address questions and concerns and to assist patients in learning how to optimize any efforts toward feeling their best. However, if a patient does have joint and/or muscle pain or is experiencing headaches, it is highly recommended they get to the root cause early

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 515-386-4284 or logging on to 21stcenturyrehab.com/free-exams/ and filling out the request form. Morton also wants to assure patients that they will find a time that fits into the patient’s schedule. “If you are unavailable for an exam in the designated week, we are happy to work with you to lock in a date that fits into your schedule.”
