The Head Opera House, located at 212 E. State St in Jefferson, opened Dec. 17, 1884, with a Christmas party.
The Sierra Community Theatre board and staff are reimagining that evening with “Christmas Tales,: an evening of music, storytelling and historic guests, Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the theatre. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, with the event beginning at 7 pm.
Tickets are $10 per person. Advance tickets are encouraged and can be purchased at the theatre.
The event is sponsored in collaboration with Deal’s Orchard, Chirp Coffee, Greene County Historical Society, Roadside Relics and the Jefferson public library.
