Dr Steven Anderson with Wolfe Eye Clinic of Ames will perform cataract surgeries at Greene County Medical Center over the course of the next several months.“The previous Wolfe Eye Clinic cataract surgeon who served patients at Greene County Medical Center relocated to another state earlier this year,” explained Greene County Medical Center chief medical officer Dr Laurie Connolly. “We are thrilled to announce that a new provider will be starting here in the early fall of 2025. In the interim, Dr Anderson will be available to serve our patients.”
Dr Anderson is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgeries, including complex cases. He graduated with honors, receiving his undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, and his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. Anderson routinely trains surgeons from around the nation and the world while also serving as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Minnesota. He holds affiliations with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the Christian Ophthalmology Society.
Dr Anderson will be at Greene County Medical Center in December, February, April, June and August. Cataract surgeries require a referral from your eye care provider or the Wolfe Eye Clinic.
