The annual Toys for Greene County Kids drive has begun.
Last year, through the generosity of donors, more than 320 Greene County children received toys as Christmas gifts. “Many of these kids will not receive toys at Christmas if they don’t get them from this type of project,” volunteer organizer Sherry Graven said.
Toys are needed for ages newborn through 14 years.
Toys for Greene County Kids operates through New Opportunities. Parents must sign up and meet income guidelines through New Opportunities.
Area residents who would like to donate can bring new, unwrapped toys to the county engineer’s office on the first floor of the courthouse in Jefferson. Monetary donations – cash or via Venmo – will be happily accepted, too.
The deadline for donating is Friday, Dec. 13.
