Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary members have already spent weeks planning for the 2024 holiday season, and they are ready to help make spirits bright with special décor, gift ideas and tasty treats.
“This is a busy time of year for all of our Auxiliary members as we kick off the Holiday of Lights, expand the Gift Garden gift shop hours and prepare hundreds of seasonal favorites for our upcoming candy sale,” said auxiliary president Sue Rieder. “We hope you will be able to join us in celebrating the holidays while giving back to everyone who utilizes services here at Greene County Medical Center.”
The annual Holiday of Lights is a silent auction featuring Christmas décor and gift items, which are on display in the main lobby of the medical center. The public is invited to write down bids on items of their choosing up to Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 2 pm.2 p.m. The individual submitting the highest bid will be contacted to pay for and pick up their item.
The very popular Auxiliary Candy Sale will open at 7 am Tuesday, Dec. 17, also in the main lobby of the medical center. These goodies go fast, so everyone is encouraged to get there early.
For those wishing to find a one-of-a-kind gift for a special someone, the Gift Garden will be open extra hours on select Saturdays in November and December. They will be holding special sales during their regular hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm and Saturdays Nov. 23, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21 from 10 am to 4 pm. In recognition of the holidays, the Gift Garden will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Thanksgiving, Nov. 28 as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Proceeds raised through the Gift Garden and holiday fundraisers are used to support services, programs and initiatives for patients and team members at Greene County Medical Center.
