In Greene County district court Jay D. Wenger, 36, of Beaver was sentenced to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- second offense. He was fined $1,850 with a $277.50 surcharge. A charge of driving while license barred was revoked. In a separate case Wenger was sentenced to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of false report of indictable offense to public entity. The jail term is consecutive to the prison term on the OWI case but concurrent to a jail term in a Boone County case. He was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge; the fine and surcharge were suspended. The court found him unable to pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs because of his incarceration. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Joshuah Jay Blumberg, 28, of Grand Junction, domestic abuse assault- second offense and child endangerment; Chad Anthony McCollom, 44, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; Christopher James Lehrkamp, 38 of Scranton, driving while license barred and leaving scene of accident involving injury; and Robin Ann Tague, 38, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. Trial dates were set for Dec. 10 in every case.
Cases were initiated in district court during the week ending Oct. 4 as follows: Jessie James Sander, 22, of Scranton, driving whilke license barred; William Poio, 50, of Jefferson, driving while license revoked; Gerardo Torres Ordaz, 36, of Des Moines, operating while intoxicated; Jesse Ray Nelson, 38, of Red Oak, burglary- third degree (five counts), and theft- fourth degree; Damon Lee McDonald, 48, of Lohrville, burglary- third degree; and Jennifer Lynn Holz, 37 of Red Oak, burglary- third degree (five counts) and theft- fourth degree.
