The Churdan public library will serve a fundraiser drive thru Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 am to 1 pm. The menu includes hot ham or turkey and cheese sandwiches, beans a chips for a freewill monetary donation. Patrons are asked to enter the alley on the east side of the library and pick up meals in the parking lot.
There are two opportunities to visit with local candidates in the Nov. 5 general election. The first opportunity is a meet-and-greet during the Sept. 28 fundraiser. The second is a candidate forum Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Churdan library meeting room. The candidates will introduce themselves and a question and answer period will follow.
Not all candidates are available for both events. Interested persons can check the Churdan public library Facebook page the week of the event for details of which candidates will be at each event.
