Get “insiders” look at local manufacturers/businesses with exclusive tours
For the third time this summer guests will experience a unique “insiders tour” of a local business. On Thursday, Sept. 19, Deal’s Orchard will host this after hours event from 5:30 to 7 pm. The “insiders tours” are organized by the Economic Vitality team of Jefferson Matters for local residents to learn about area businesses and feel proud of the assets of Greene County.
“We’re excited for the chance to show the community a little more of what it is that we do here at Deal’s Orchard,” said Chris Deal. “For four generations, this community has supported our family business, and we are happy whenever we have an opportunity to engage and give back to this wonderful community.”
Guests can go behind the scenes of one of the top attractions in Jefferson and in Iowa with this exclusive opportunity. A limited number of guests will be able to participate in this tour of areas not usually open to the public
Early sign up is a must for this event. Access the registration via the following jotform link: https://form.jotform.com/240865494730160. There is cost of $10 per person to attend. Contact Jefferson Matters at 515-386-2155 if assistance is needed.
Those attending the tour will secure “insider” passes to uncover the secrets and stories behind this local service business, delving into the unseen aspects that make it thrive.
5:30 pm – Meet outside of the Deal’s Orchard barn. The group will be divided into two groups led by Benji Deal touring the cider press, hard cider bottling and other behind the scenes area of inside the barn. Chris Deal will take the group on a hayrack to the new high density orchard planted this spring and share plans for the future. Groups will see both parts of the tour.
6:30 – 7 pm – “Taste of Deal’s” refreshments will be served on the porch and on the outdoor patio. Guests will have a chance to mingle and ask questions. Samples of Deal’s products will be included for the event’s refreshments with items also for sale.
