The bygone days of radio theatre will return to Spring Lake Park lakeside shelter this Saturday, Aug. 24, when the Community Players of Greene County present the CPGG Radio Hour.
The program will feature episodes of “The Bickersons,” “Little Orphan Annie,” and “Fibber McGee & Molly,” as well as “The Lottery” and “Who’s on First?”
The cast includes John Schoening, Jeff Hughes, Lindy Lehman, Josh Tuel, Snowy Anderson, Alicia Sloan, Gwen Hooper, Ash Elliott, Ashley Elliott, Chloe Powers, Tim Pound, Sophie Hughes, Darren Jackson, John Schoening, Clay Ross, Chad and Alexis Stevens, Linda Redfern, Jennifer and Troy Powers, Corbin Bellinghausen, and Heather Moody.
Finally, “Fibber McGee and Molly” will be performed by Darren Jackson, Chad and Alexis Stevens, Linda Redfern, Ash Elliott, Ashley Elliott, Troy Powers, John Schoening, Jeff Hughes, Clay Ross, Chloe Powers and Sophie Hughes.
The airwaves go live at 5 pm. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. There is no admission charge, but donations will be accepted to help the Players fund future productions.
