Greene County magistrate court, week ending Aug. 9

In Greene County magistrate court Roger Keith Ketchum Jr of State Center was sentenced to 10 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of interference with official acts, and another 10 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault- simple. The jail terms were suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. Ketchum was fined $250 with a $37.50 surcharge on the interference charge, and $105 with a $15.75 surcharge on the assault charge. He must pay $798.05 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $183 court costs.

A judgment for a $105 fine with a $15.75 surcharge was entered against Crystal Marie Winger of Jefferson on a charge of theft- fifth degree. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and comply with all recommendations. Two counts of theft- fifth degree were dismissed. Court costs were $60.

Emmanuel Sang of West Des Moines was sentenced to 10 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of public intoxication. The jail term was suspended. Should he serve it, it will be consecutive to the term on a charge of operating while intoxicated. He was placed on unsupervised probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. Sang was fined $105 with a $15.75.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Tabetha Suzanne Tingwald of Woodward, theft- fifth degree; and Alexandra Paige Thomas of Boone, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Cyknthia Rae Hatting of Carroll, domestic abuse assault with intent to cause pain/injury.
