In Greene County district court Carlos Ricardo Gonzales, 48, of Dayton was sentenced Aug. 7 to 15 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. The jail term was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must also perform 150 hours of community service. Gonzales was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay an amount not to exceed $500 for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $200 court costs. Deidra Raedean Sheets, 60, of Gowrie was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for two years after she changed her plea to guilty to operating vehicle without owner’s expense. She was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; the fine and surcharge were suspended. She must pay an amount not to exceed $500 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s feed. Tirone Isaac Bingley, 22, of Jefferson was sentenced to seven days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. The jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Bingley was fined 4r430 with a $64.50 surcharge; both were suspended. Court costs were $200. James Michael Timmons, 44, of Jefferson was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault, amended from domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. All but four days of the jail time was suspended, and he was given credit for time served on two Greene County cases on charges of operating while intoxicated. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must complete an Iowa domestic abuse program. Timmons was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and a $90 domestic abuse assault surcharge. Court costs were $263. In a magistrate case against Timmons on a charge of violation of a no contact order he was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with all but seven days suspended. He received credit for time already served on that case as well. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Court costs were $60. Karmen Andrea Carroll, 31, of Jefferson was sentenced to 180 days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of assault on a peace officer. All but seven days of the jail term were suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. A judgment was entered for a $430 fine with as $64.50 surcharge. Victim restitution is to be determined. A charge of interference with official acts was dismissed. Court costs were $100. A charge in magistrate court of public intoxication was dismissed. Trial date was set for Sept. 16 for Grazier; for Oct. 1 for Steger, Ward, Dugan, Wagoner, Wempe, and Rysavy; and for Nov. 5 for Brotherson, Vansumple, Zollars, and Struck.
