Two new school records set at qualifying meet

Three events for the Greene County girls track and field team will compete at the state meet after automatically qualifying last Thursday at Manson-Northwest Webster High School.
The state meet will be held May 16, 17 and 18 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
Kaycee Pittman ran a school record race in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:25.32, taking second and sending her to the state meet. Emma Ewalt qualified in discus, throwing her personal best 114-08 to earn her second place. Also finishing in second, automatically qualifying for the state meet, was the distance medley relay team of Addison Gannon, Kaylee Stalder, Savannah Lansman and Pittman, setting a school record with a finish of 4:24.60.
Adding to the top 10 Greene County list from 2011 to present are: Emma Ewalt, discus, sixth; Kaycee Pittman, 800 meter run, first; Hailey Carman, 800 meter run, eighth; 4×400 meter relay, Lansman, Gannon, Carman and Pittman, sixth; Distance medley, Gannon, Stalder, Lansman, Pittman, first.
To the freshman/sophomore top five list from 2018 to present, added are Jennifer Robbins, 100 meter hurdles, fifth and Pittman, 800 meter run, first.
The team took 10th overall, ending the regular season for the athletes who will now look to the summer sport season.

Discus – Emma Ewalt, 114-08, second; Daniele Madsen, 80-08, 15th.
High jump – Payton Kokenge, 4-08, fifth; Lila Osterson, 4-06, ninth.
100 meter dash – Sara Morlan, 14.96, 20th; Ava Binkley, 15.76, 23rd.
100 meter hurdles – Bellah Johnson, 18.57, 16th; Jennifer Robbins, 19.23, 22nd.
200 meter dash – Payton Kokenge, 28.60, fourth.
400 meter dash, Sadie Shannon, 1:11.96, 13th; Calleigh Fitzpatrick, 1:19.41, 20th.
400 meter hurdles – Bellah Johnson, 1:22.68, 16th; Jennifer Robbins, 1:32.34, 18th.
800 meter run – Kaycee Pittman, 2:25.32, second; Hailey Carman, 2:41.01, sixth.
1500 meter run – Evelyn Snyder, 6:38.70, 19th.
3000 meter run – Evelyn Snyder, 14:19.34, 14th.
4×100 meter relay – Kaylee Stalder, Payton Kokenge, Sara Morlan, Lila Osterson, 55.64, 10th.
4×200 meter relay – Kaylee Stalder, Addison Gannon, Lila Osterson, Payton Kokenge, 1:55.22, ninth.
4×400 meter relay – Savannah Lansman, Addison Gannon, Hailey Carman, Kaycee Pittman, 4:20.93, fifth.
Sprint medley – Kaylee Stalder, Calleigh Fitzpatrick, Sara Morlan, Sadie Shannon, 2:11.90, 12th.
