The fifth ranked Greene County boys soccer team faced their first loss last week, falling 1-0 to a 3-6 Des Moines Christian team. The Lions scored in the final 13 seconds of the match. This was the second consecutive match the Rams played without more than one starter.
Greene County is sporting a 5-1 record this spring.
The Rams were scheduled to play at Logan Magnolia on Monday, with a Tuesday game at home against 10th ranked Perry. Next week, Greene County is set to travel to PCM High School on Monday, April 29, with a Saturday tournament at Nevada High School.
“We had many opportunities, and Gabe had some great saves. Lots of work, ready to get some guys back,” commented Coach Carl Behne.
