The second annual Keith Vander Wilt Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, May 11, at The Hill Golf Course at Grand Junction. Registration will start at 10 am and play will start at 11. The tournament will be an 18-hole, 4-person best shot. The cost is $240 per team. Call The Hill at 515-738-2633 to register your team.
Keith Vander Wilt started teaching math in Jefferson in 1984 and retired from Greene County in 2013. During his time as a teacher, Vander Wilt coached many different sports, with his last sport being the girls’ golf team. He also worked at The Hill golf course for many years.
Funds raised will be used to purchase equipment for the Greene County golf programs. Past funds were used to purchase team golf bags, range finders, and a hitting cage for a golf simulator.
