The June 4 primary election for county positions will include a contest for Republicans for the District 5 supervisor ballot position. Incumbent Pete Bardole is being challenged by Sue Bose. The winner will run in the Nov. 4 general election.
Also on the Republican primary ballot are Joe Gannon supervisor District 1. Incumbent Mick Burkett is not running for re-election. John Muir is running for re-election in District 4.
County auditor Billie Jo Hoskins, who was appointed in July to fill the vacancy when Jane Huen retired, is on the Republican primary ballot, as is sheriff Jack Williams.
In the Democratic primary, Greg Ruth is running in supervisor District 1. Victoria Riley is running in supervisor District 4. There are no Democrat primary candidates for supervisor District 5, auditor and sheriff.
There are no Libertarians on the primary ballot.
