The Greene County opioid settlement funds allocation committee announced Monday that applications for Greene County Opioid Settlement funding are now available to organizations serving Greene County. Organizations may include but are not limited to schools, hospitals, medical and substance abuse providers, treatment centers, prevention organizations, etc.
The committee is dedicated to awarding funding for projects that will have an impact in our community. The prevention and abatement of the abuse of opioids, along with the provision of treatment for those with addictions to opioids, are the key purpose for the funds.
The application and a list of acceptable projects can be found on the Greene County website at https://greenecountyia.municipalone.com/ or at the Greene County treasurer’s office located at 114 N Chestnut St, Jefferson. The first deadline for funding applications will be on May 1, 2024.
