The Greene County boys basketball team went 0-3 last week as the team works to make up games missed due to winter weather.
On Jan. 23, the Rams hosted sixth ranked Roland-Story with Greene County falling 79-44 after trailing 41-24 at the halftime break. Nathan Behne led the Rams with 10 points and eight rebounds. Gabe Ebersole was another important figure on the floor, scoring nine points with five rebounds and two assists. Broc Stream banked seven points and Trey Schilling grabbed three boards.

Friday night took the team to Nevada High School, where the Rams fell 85-52 to the 12-3 team. The Rams fought hard, but the Cubs were relentless, not allowing the Rams to get within 15 points by the time each quarter ended. Ebersole led with 17 points, Behne scored 13 and Stream added seven points for the Rams. Behne led in rebounds with seven and Brynley Ruzicka had the lead in assists with two.

The team had a third chance to play on Saturday, facing Manson Northwest Webster on the Cougars’ home court. Greene County fell 74-46 to the 12-5 team. The Rams trailed by 12 at the end of the first half, but were unable to keep their momentum up to stick close in the third and fourth frames. Ruzicka put 14 points on the board with Ebersole scoring 12 with five rebounds. Behne netted seven points with four rebounds.
