The Rams boys basketball team got in one game last week as they worked around the winter weather, hosting the South Hamilton Hawks Jan. 19 and falling 73-60 to the 11-1 team.
Greene County put up an impressive fight against the nearly undefeated team with the score tied at 32 at half time. The Rams kept the game close in the third frame, trailing by just two points, but the Hawks battled to increase their lead in the fourth quarter and were successful at doing so, taking the win by 13 points.
Nathan Towers led the Rams scoreboard, shooting for 12 points. Brynley Ruzicka put up 11 points and Broc Stream scored 10. Stream led in rebounds with three, with Ruzicka leading in the assists category with five. The team had only 13 turnovers, forcing nine from the Hawks. Fouls didn’t do any favors for the Rams, as they were charged with 20 throughout the night.
