The Ram boys hoops team opened their home season Nov. 28, hosting Panorama and falling 62-46 to the Panthers. The Rams had the lead in the first quarter with an 11-9 score, but it wasn’t long before they lost the lead and the score gap opened up, trailing 28-16 at the end of the second quarter.
Ram leaders were Behne who scored 11 of the team’s points, Isaac Carman with seven rebounds and two blocks and Gabe Ebersole with four rebounds and three steals. Behne, Ebersole and Trey Schilling each had two assists in the game.
The team traveled to Monroe to play Friday night, where a close game ended up in a loss for the Rams, falling 61-45. The Rams were able to keep the score close throughout the first quarter, tying 11-11 by the end of the first, but the Mustangs widened the gap in the second quarter, with PCM up 31-20 at the half. The second half of the game was a close battle, but the Rams were unable to top the Mustangs. Stats were unavailable for the game.
