On Veteran’s Day, Saturday, Nov. 11, Mahanay Maestro Rick Morain will perform a special Veterans Day concert. The public is invited to listen to a patriotic carillon concert from 12:15 to 12:30 pm. “Rick’s playlist will certainly be amazing selections to honor our veterans,” said bell tower music coordinator Peg Raney.
This year will also include the addition of patriotic colored lighting on the Mahanay Bell Tower not only on Friday and Saturday nights of Veterans Day weekend, but Nov. 6-12. The Greene County supervisors are participating in the Operation Green Light for Veterans. Green lights will illuminate the bell tower from dusk to midnight.
The Veterans Day concert is part of the regular Tower Tunes Live concerts coordinated by the Bell Tower Community Foundation for the Greene County board of supervisors.
